  It is very nice to see him loosening up a bit. For years he could bash every religion but his own....now at least its equal!

  My parents went to one of his Sermons/Concerts/Donation Events in Oakland California. They waited 2 hours through all kinds of mini-Osteens and singers for him to come out and speak for a half an hour.

  There was lots of talk about give give give lots of money.

  They said it was very different from what you see on TV and they are no longer fans.

  Well my husband seems to be loosening up a bit. Last night we were watching Good Eats on the food channel. The show was about Waffles. A little history...Waffles were invented by Catholic Monks because communion wafers were one of the few things the people could eat during fasting. The waffle is just a bigger communion wafer. My hubby and I were watching...and he said : I wonder how that got past the Witnesses? Maybe I will write a letter to the society asking why we can eat waffles but not eat hot cross buns, candy canes, halloween candy. I told him to shut up his question would probably end up in the Questions of the Month section and we both started howling with laughter. It's nice to see he's finally getting a sense of humor about the Society Best Regards, Chrystal

  Having Surgery - I'm scared!

  i am having surgery next friday and i am scared to death!!!!

  i am having a lump removed from both breasts and a biopsy done at the same time.

  finding out the results of the biopsy is what is stressing me out the most.

  Hi Liquidsky,

  I am hoping and praying that everything comes out well for you. If it is cancer, there are so many treatments now.

  The surgery is probably the easier part of all this, the waiting being the worst.

  I've had quite a few major surgeries, not fun but not at all horrible.

  there is a clever volkswagen tv ad currently running in the u s that depicts various types of people driving cars that reflect their personality, like older males driving sleek sports cars to compensate for their "shortcomings" or a younger man driving an expensive european sedan as he pronounces with a bullhorn "because my father never hugged me!

  or another who says "because i make more money than you!

  have any of you ever gotten your self image tangled up with a vehicle?

  I have worked for a company called Working Solutions for about 5 years now. They are out of Plano Texas. I work when I want and however much I want. They pay pretty well for sitting on my butt in my pj's....

  I am a WAHM - Work At Home Mom.

  I sell on ebay and I work for a company doing data entry and editing over the internet.

  When people call Billy Graham and ask for prayers or a big company is hiring and ask for pre-info. I enter their info into the database.

  I also edit for Nascar/ Fanscan. When you go see a race you can hear the communications from the driver to his pit crew. Because it goes over the airwaves it has to be edited for expletives or else the company will be fined....I push the button.

  I'm not getting rich but I can work at home and not miss out on the kidlets day to day fun.

  Decisions can have scary consequences at times

  hey all, had to have routine blood tests the other day for bubs, they test for everything hiv, syphilis etc....... it really got me thinking just how scary life can be at times, i mean how many of us have slept with someone unprotected without knowing anything bout them?????

  it got me thinking it only takes one person to say have hiv and that can be enough.

  not that i have slept around alot, infact only with two other people but thats enough.. ive been talking to heaps of my friends and either them or there partner have slept around alot more unprotected and have been lucky enough, i know im being stupid im confident im ok but still i dont want to be the unlucky one get me.. i know im being a little melodramatic it just got me serioulsy thinking.

  Hi Es,

  When I had both of my boys they did a multitude of tests. I thought well if I am HIV positive, better to know so that I can take the treatments so the baby will be okay and possibly not have HIV.

  I had a negative status both times, but theres always that creeping fear in the back of my mind. Especially when they learn new things about all these diseases everyday.

  Don't worry, I am sure everything will be fine. At the most they may find you to be anemic or something else you need extra vitamins to manage.

  richierich, are you able to "trade in" target gift cards for cash since you are an employee?

  and if the answer to that question is yes, would we be able to purchase gift cards at our local target but have them available to you at your target?

  kind of like paying for merchandise at one location but picking up at another.

  Can you set yourself up a Paypal account? Then you can accept money from people all over the world who may want to help you out? They will send you a Debit/Credit Card that you can get the funds from any ATM or use like a regular credit card.
